Passage planning
The vessel's passage planning shall include the voyage between the pilot boarding point and the quay or anchorage. If the Swedish Maritime Administration's pilot routes are used, the exchange of information on the route between the pilot and the ship's crew is made easier. The routes presented are the intended ideal tracks / corridors that the ship should follow. However, the routes should not be perceived as mandatory for individual ships. Depending on the traffic situation and weather situation, deviations from the routes may of course be necessary and then compatible with good seamanship. The exchange of information between pilots and masters should also include a maneuvering and mooring plan. The Swedish Maritime Administration's "Passage plans" can be used to facilitate the exchange of information.
